RE: Chimienti and Associates
The County of Kern has done business, in various forms, with
Chimienti & Associates for almost twenty years. First, in the early 80's Chimienti
served County employees as a General Agent for Colonial Life and Accident Company
programs offered to the members of several of the County's employee unions. Later
when the County adopted Colonial as the administrator of the County's IRS 125 cafeteria
plan, Chimienti & Associates were responsible for the annual open enrollments
and on-going administration of the program.
Finally, in 1999 the County sought a vendor to expand employee
benefits administration into/onto the Internet and to include interactive enrollment
and administration of all employee benefits. Our formal search determined that Chimienti
& Associates more closely mirrored our vision for the future of employee benefits
administration than any other proposing company. Although our project is not yet
complete, Chimienti has worked aggressively and conscientiously to custom build
an Internet-based benefits administration platform that will combine all of the
eligible components of a 125 plan with other employee benefits such as group health,
dental, and vision insurance. To date, sufficient progress has been made to make
us confident that we will achieve our goal sometime in this calendar year.
Notwithstanding the high quality of product
Chimienti has always provided Kern County employees, the primary attribute that
has kept Chimienti in business with Kern County over this twenty-year span is Chimienti's
commitment to provide a very high quality of customer service. As you would expect,
many administrative errors/problems have occurred during this lengthy relationship.
In every case, the staff of Chimienti & Associates has corrected those problems
quickly and to our complete satisfaction.
I highly recommend Chimienti & Associates to any employer seeking 21st Century
solutions to employee group benefits administration.
Yours Truly,
William C. Douglas
